Battle Royale is all about community. It is the opportunity for local independent artists to get stage experience in a fully equipped venue, network with others in the industry and play to new audiences, all while competing for a prize worth over £1,000.

All artists will be exposed to the real experience of playing live; from the pre-event preparation, set up, sound and line checks and the experience of playing on stage to an enthusiastic audience.

Artists will also receive marketing support from the Battle Royale team, being supplied by promotional materials as well as paid advertising across social media.

The winning artist of Battle Royale will receive a range of prizes, including a recording session with local Backland Studio as well as a promotional package from Reaction Management.

Mama Liz's has been supporting the local music scene for over 15 years. Having been founded in 2008, the venue has been home to a variety of well known artists including Bad Cop, Bad Cop and Belvedere.

Mama Liz's hosts a range of live events every week and is well known amongst independent music lovers throughout the Stamford and Peterborough area.

We wanted to work with Mama Liz's as they share our enthusiasm for local music and were eager to be a part of this project. Together, we're working hard to put the spotlight on new artists.

With a capacity of 100, it bounces and feels busy with a relatively modest audience, and it is fully equipped to host a range of live acts. The team are friendly and hard working and as artists themselves, the organisers have had nothing but positive experiences with them.
